The City and Bay Cities recently came into agreement regarding soil processing and planting at the roundabout, and work is moving forward. The trees — which include crape myrtles, Italian cypress and olive trees — were delivered earlier this week and will be planted concurrently with soil-screening to remove large aggregate and man-made objects.
Here are a few photos taken of some of the trees and landscape prep this afternoon:
Shrubs will be delivered next week. The planting of the more than 2,800 trees, shrubs and other plants should be complete by Wednesday, November 21.
Save the Date: That’s just in time for the City to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 29, to mark the completion of the roundabout. We’re working out the details now; we’ll provide all of the information soon.
